Text Box: Similar to the other services, the Navy also established its own Modeling and Simulation Office (NMSO).  The program's goal is to provide capable, reactive, and flexible simulation systems to its tenants.  The Navy has its Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation  (MOVES) institute at the Naval Postgraduate School Mechanical Engineering building.  This department specializes in combat modeling systems, training system, virtual environment, distance learning, and human traits.
The U.S. Navy developed Strike & Retrieve, a downloadable, tactical-action simulation for a PC platform that helps evaluate future recruitment benchmarks. Because of the futuristic arcade-ish look, the simulation is not as realistic looking as other services.  Strike & Retrieve is designed to force players to use decision-making skills.  One interesting characteristic of the game is that once downloaded, the Strike & Retrieve server tracks performance as compared to the user self-classified personality type (doer, problem solver, innovator, persuader, advisor or planner).
