Text Box: In January 2005, the U.S. Air Force, along with Critical Mass Interactive (CMI), has launched a new video game to attract new recruits and has some training applications.  Most people equate the Air Force to flying fighter planes.  The Air Force means to highlight the service’s non-traditional missions.  The player must complete three specific missions: saving a pilot from an allied nation, delivering supplies inside hostile territory, and completing a covert surveillance raid. Each mission is meant to provide the player with a varied perspective of many of the different responsibilities associated with the United States Air Force.
While the aircraft doesn’t fly as realistically as in other flight simulation software available in the entertainment market, the Air Force game doesn’t have the brutal learning curve of simulators such as Microsoft Flight Simulator.
USAF: Air Dominance allows the following flyable aircraft: A-10, F-4E, F-15C/E, F-16, F-22, F-105, and F-117.  The game is available for PC platforms as well as Air Force recruiting stations and kiosks.
