Simulation- is a method for implementing a model over time 
Modeling & Simulation – refers to the use of models, including emulators, prototypes, simulators, either statistically or over time.  Used to develop data as a basis for making managerial or technical decisions. 
Simulator – is a device, computer program, or system that performs simulations.  For training, a device which depicts the essential factors of a task situation and provides for direct human operation. 
War Game – is a simulation game in which participants seek to achieve a specified military objective given pre-establish resources aid constraints; for example, a simulation in which participants make battle decisions and a computer determines the results of those decisions.
Virtual Simulation - refers to a simulation involving real people operating simulated systems.  Examples:  flying an airplane, or committing fire control resource to action.
